First up we hear about new Interactive GIS maps from the state Department of Land and Natural Resources. Luna Kekoa joins us from the Makai Watch Program and also tells us about upcoming workshops:

The first two workshops will be on O‘ahu on:

  • Saturday February 17th from 9 to 11 a.m. at Kamiloiki Elementary Cafeteria, 7788 Hawai‘i Kai Dr, Honolulu; and
  • Saturday February 24th from 9:15 to 11:15 a.m. Wai‘anae Intermediate Cafeteria, 85-626 Farrington Hwy, Wai‘anae

Then we get to know the Pineapple Crate, a brand new co-working space in Central O‘ahu. Brandon Askew and Lilette Subedi join us to tell us all about it.

Episode 401: Coral Restoration Nursery – May 4, 2016

We start the hour hearing about a couple of upcoming events. First, Frank De Rego from the Maui Economic Development Board calls in to tell us about their upcoming Hawaii STEM Conference and the next Startup Weekend Maui. Then Andy Goshorn from the Coast Guard will bring us up to date on the Mate ROV underwater robotics competition.
Finally, we’ll talk to Dave Gulko and Norton Chan from the Anuenue Fisheries Research Center about their coral restoration nursery.
