First up there is an event coming up on Oct 8th to celebrate and recognize Hydrogen Day. This event will feature virtual tours of hydrogen projects in Hawaii and a panel with leading hydrogen experts to discuss potential for hydrogen in the State.
Then we’re joined by Rich Wacker, CEO of American Savings Bank and Omar Sultan from XLR8HI to talk about the Aloha Connects Innovation program and how this program not only seeks to place unemployed workers into potential jobs but also helps grow the innovation sector.
First up we have Sanford Ching, Director of AFCEA, and he’s here to tell us about AFCEA’s STEM grants.
Then we have Alec Wagner, Director of Purple Prize and Kilo Hoku, Preston Tran, co-founder of Box Farm Labs and Joshua Parker recently won the Kipuka Innovation Challenge with Hawaiian Hydropower, talk about native culture and tech innovation. First up, this Friday, Sept. 18, from 10-11 a.m., Elemental Excelerator will host a live conversation with David Schlosberg, Enel X Vice President of Energy Market Operations, to unpack project results and discuss smart charging’s role in grid modernization efforts, electric vehicle adoption in Hawaii, broader clean transportation initiatives for utilities, and COVID’s impact on EV charging behavior.
First up the National Day of Civic Hacking is coming up on Saturday, September 12, 2020. Code for Hawaiʻi, Code for America, and the Brigade Network for the 2020 are teaming up to present NDoCH, which brings together civic leaders, public servants, designers, coders, and engaged citizens to partner with local government and community groups to tackle some of our toughest challenges.
Then we have Wayne Layugan, Sr Project Engineer at Innovate Hawaii at HTDC, and he’s here to tell us about a the PPE Innovation Grant program.
