First, we hear from David Nickles, IT Coordinator at the Waikiki Aquarium about their new digital AR aquarium display. Then we have a special guest joining us. Gubernatorial candidate Colleen Hanabusa is in the studio to talk about science, tech and the innovation economy.
First we’ll look at the latest tech news and happenings in Hawaii. Then joining us is Tyler Crowley from Founders Institute to tell us about the upcoming Founders Lecture. Also join us is Chad Yoshinaga, field operation manager of the Hawaiian Monk Seal Research Program to tell us about an event at the Waikiki Aquarium to help save the monk seal. Finally, we’ll prep for hurricane season and talk to Doug Mayne from the State Civil Defense and Peter Hirai from the City’s Dept of Emergency Management and find out how we’re preparing for a category 4 hurricane.
