We reprise the show we did about about the Euclid Space Telescope and Hawaiʻi’s connection to the Euclid Mission. With me today I have, Mary Beth Laychak, Director of Communications and Community Engagement at Canada-France-Hawaiʻi Telescope, also representing the Subaru Telescope, and Dr. Ken Chambers, Director of the Pan-STARRS Observatories.
To kick off today’s show, we hear about a couple of upcoming events. Jentery Sayers joins us from the University of Victoria to tell us about an upcoming event called Prototyping the Past. Then Ken DeHoff and Burl Burlingame from the Pacific Aviation Museum are here to tell us about the B5N Torpedo Bomber restoration. Finally, we’ll learn about the Panoramic Survey Telescope & Rapid Response System or Pan-STARRS and the Near Earth Object project with Richard Wainscoat, Eugene Magnier and Larry Denneau from the Institute for Astronomy.
